Limited vinyl LP pressing. Dorothy Ashby was an American jazz harpist one of the very few who used her instrument to play credible jazz and bebop. First studying as a pianist at Wayne State University and later in 1952 switching to harp. She recorded 11 albums for different jazz labels like Savoy and Prestige. Dorothy also guested as a studio player on albums with Bill Withers Stevie Wonder and many more. In 1969 the studio album Dorothys Harp was released on Cadet Records. On the album she covered songs from Jimmy Webb By The Time I Get To Phoenix Burt Bacharach & Hal David This Girls In Love With You John Lennon & Paul McCartney Fool On The Hill and others. The record also includes the two Brazilian styled compositions Reza and Canto de Ossanha and two songs written by Dorothy Ashby herself displaying her craft on the harp with some great bongo work. Expedited Shipping: allow 2-5 business days for delivery. Albums will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail; all other products via UPS or FedEx 2-Day Air.
Overnight Shipping: allow 1-2 business days for delivery. All products will be shipped via UPS or FedEx Next Day Air.
Shipping is available to the 48 contiguous United States. We are unable to ship to International, PO Box, or APO/FPO addresses.
3. Return Policy
We offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all products purchased from Victrola.com. All items must be returned as new in their original packaging, including all accessories and cables. Missing items will be charged based on suggested retail prices. All returns must be accompanied by a valid return authorization number (RMA) issued by Victrola. If an RMA is not obtained prior to shipping, the returned product will be refused and returned to sender. Shipping cost is not refundable and returns must be shipped prepaid by the customer. There is a 15% restocking fee that will be calculated based on the price of the product once the item is refunded.
