Separately Vic Galloway Saleem Andrew McGroarty and Philly Angelo Collins have helped shape the sound of Edinburgh through underground gigs club culture and broadcasting. They pull on their different influences in Check Masses. While hes a punk at heart Galloway is a true authority on the diversity of Scottish music through his 20 years as a BBC presenter and his 2018 book Rip It Up - The Story of Scottish Pop the definitive history since the 1950s. Closer to home Songs in the Key of Fife is his first-hand account of the East coasts rich musical legacy informed by playing in various bands with James Yorkston and King Creosote. Philly moved to Scotland from the Seychelles as a kid and has been in bands since the mid-90s. After EMI signed him for an album he resisted the labels attempts to nudge him into an R&B corner. But with the help of McGroarty as executive producer he later explored an acoustic path with psychedelic post-rock shades on his self-released debut Kings and Queens cut from the shelved EMI tracks. Andy has been an integral figure in Edinburghs nightlife for years starting the capitals first hip-hop club The Big Payback with Neil Spence in 1990 and playing at some of the citys seminal clubs including Lizard Lounge and Chocolate City. He also featured on Sugar Bullets Demonstrate In Mass One Nation Under A Dope Mix the first ever recorded Scottish hip-hop track. He currently produces under the name Sound Signals.

If your order contains multiple items, it may ship from different warehouse locations. Tracking information will be sent as items are shipped.

We make every effort to ship your order as soon as possible. However, please allow 1-3 business days for your order to process when calculating delivery dates.

Standard Shipping: allow 7-10 business days for delivery. Albums will be shipped via USPS Media Mail; all other products via UPS or FedEx Ground.

Expedited Shipping: allow 2-5 business days for delivery. Albums will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail; all other products via UPS or FedEx 2-Day Air.

Overnight Shipping: allow 1-2 business days for delivery. All products will be shipped via UPS or FedEx Next Day Air.

Shipping is available to the 48 contiguous United States. We are unable to ship to International, PO Box, or APO/FPO addresses.

3. Return Policy

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all products purchased from Victrola.com. All items must be returned as new in their original packaging, including all accessories and cables. Missing items will be charged based on suggested retail prices. All returns must be accompanied by a valid return authorization number (RMA) issued by Victrola. If an RMA is not obtained prior to shipping, the returned product will be refused and returned to sender. Shipping cost is not refundable and returns must be shipped prepaid by the customer. There is a 15% restocking fee that will be calculated based on the price of the product once the item is refunded.
