So little you could begin to wonder how often these icons of 20th Century classical music have ever been mentioned in the same sentence. Its hard to find two composers whose musical languages are further apart from each other. Glass is the American who is widely loved and whose music is deeply rooted in repeating and shifting rhythmic patterns. His pieces are heard everywhere - in films in theaters at festivals. Alternatively the interwoven sound structure of Dutilleux 1916-2013 at the same time so original and in his search for new colors is so typically French. Where Glass is regarded as extremely accessible Dutilleux is considered intellectually challenging -his music is for an audience of connaisseurs. Nevertheless one finds the music of these two gentlemen on each side of one LP in which Glass and Dutilleux are literally opposite poles. The Alma Quartet couples Dutilleuxs Ainsi la nuit... Thus the Night... 1976 with Glasss Second String Quartet Company 1983.

Standard Shipping: allow 7-10 business days for delivery. Albums will be shipped via USPS Media Mail; all other products via UPS or FedEx Ground.

Expedited Shipping: allow 2-5 business days for delivery. Albums will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail; all other products via UPS or FedEx 2-Day Air.

Overnight Shipping: allow 1-2 business days for delivery. All products will be shipped via UPS or FedEx Next Day Air.

Shipping is available to the 48 contiguous United States. We are unable to ship to International, PO Box, or APO/FPO addresses.

3. Return Policy

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all products purchased from Victrola.com. All items must be returned as new in their original packaging, including all accessories and cables. Missing items will be charged based on suggested retail prices. All returns must be accompanied by a valid return authorization number (RMA) issued by Victrola. If an RMA is not obtained prior to shipping, the returned product will be refused and returned to sender. Shipping cost is not refundable and returns must be shipped prepaid by the customer. There is a 15% restocking fee that will be calculated based on the price of the product once the item is refunded.

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase and the merchandise is unopened, we will be happy to exchange it for you. No refunds will be given on opened albums, unless damaged or defective. Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable, and you will be responsible for all costs associated with return shipment.
