Victrola elevates wireless vinyl experience to unveil Victrola Stream Sapphire turntable with Sonos and UPnP integration
Listeners can stream vinyl in up to 24-bit/48kHz lossless FLAC audio for uncompromised sound, for those who desire the exceptional
DENVER, CO (Jan. 8, 2024) – Today, Victrola, the leading manufacturer of record players, turntables, and music-related products in the home for more than 115 years, unveiled the latest edition to its award-winning line of wireless turntables, Victrola Stream Sapphire. Expanding on the successful Stream wireless vinyl turntable line, Victrola Stream Sapphire builds on the DNA of Victrola’s flagship Stream Carbon and also expands on its connectivity solutions with the ability to stream vinyl in stunning clarity to Sonos and UPnP integrated systems, as well as support for up to 24-bit/48kHz lossless FLAC audio. With a bespoke walnut veneer on the MDF plinth, an upgraded brushless motor for quiet and accurate sound, and an audiophile-grade Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge, Victrola Stream Sapphire is for the vinyl lover seeking more options for high-quality wireless audio fused with beautiful design and premium components.
As the first Stream turntable to launch with multiple connectivity options, Victrola Stream Sapphire makes it easier than ever to wirelessly stream to a listener's preferred speaker setup, all through the Victrola Stream app. In a few easy steps, owners of UPnP network-enabled streaming devices such as home theater A/V receivers, UPnP speakers, and smart TVs will be able to enjoy a wireless vinyl experience with no additional equipment required.
“The Victrola Stream turntable line was created out of a need to provide a seamless, integrated wireless solution to enjoy vinyl no matter where the listener is in their home. After hearing from both consumers and the integrator community, we recognized an opportunity to build on that promise by opening our ecosystem to include other popular streaming options while also elevating the turntable itself to a level we’ve never introduced in the market before,” said Scott Hagen, CEO of Victrola. “Victrola Stream Sapphire is a perfectly crafted audiophile-level wireless vinyl solution that meets vinyl purists’ standards while giving integrators the most versatile turntable for any project.”
Structurally, Victrola Stream Sapphire is built to produce the clearest audio possible, starting with a low-resonance MDF plinth with bespoke real walnut veneer and adjustable-height aluminum feet with sound dampening base for easy self-leveling and vibration isolation. Its two-speed brushless motor provides quiet and consistent speed control, while the audiophile-grade Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge attached to a removable headshell and carbon-fiber tonearm brings improved frequency, range and tracking, and delivers exceptional sound quality. Identical to the rest of the Stream turntable line, an illuminated control knob provides an easy-to-use, tactile control for volume and playback directly from the turntable, and gold-plated RCA outputs allow for playback with wired systems or powered speakers.
The Victrola Stream Sapphire will be available in Spring 2024 at Victrola.com, specialty audio retailers, and custom installation dealers for a suggested retail price of $1,499.
