II is the second full-length album by Tobias Sammets supergroup project Avantasia. It is a concept album and a rock opera and further information on the story can be found here. The songs carry on the story begun in The Metal Opera with the same characters. Much like other power metal albums the compositions draws aesthetic and lyrical influences from early fantasy literature such as The Lord of The Rings and the Red Sonja series. Avantasia is a German supergroup rock opera project created by Tobias Sammet vocalist of the band Edguy. It has been characterized as a rock opera as it features the contributions of various vocalists and musicians and it consists of concept albums. The name is a portmanteau of the words avalon and fantasia fantasy and describes a world beyond human imagination. In Spring 1999 during Edguys Theater of Salvation tour Tobias Sammet began to outline his ideas for a metal opera concept album featuring a number of guest musicians. When the tour finished he began collaborating with metal vocalists to record the project. At this stage the core band consisted of four members Sammet on keyboards Henjo Richter on guitar Markus Grosskopf on bass and Alex Holzwarth on drums. In 2001 a self-titled single and the first full-length album The Metal Opera were released. The project went on hiatus after the release of The Metal Opera Part II in September 2002.

Expedited Shipping: allow 2-5 business days for delivery. Albums will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail; all other products via UPS or FedEx 2-Day Air.

Overnight Shipping: allow 1-2 business days for delivery. All products will be shipped via UPS or FedEx Next Day Air.

Shipping is available to the 48 contiguous United States. We are unable to ship to International, PO Box, or APO/FPO addresses. 

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all products purchased from Victrola.com. All items must be returned as new in their original packaging, including all accessories and cables. Missing items will be charged based on suggested retail prices. All returns must be accompanied by a valid return authorization number (RMA) issued by Victrola. If an RMA is not obtained prior to shipping, the returned product will be refused and returned to sender. Shipping cost is not refundable and returns must be shipped prepaid by the customer. There is a 15% restocking fee that will be calculated based on the price of the product once the item is refunded.

Album returns: If you have received damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped merchandise, please notify Customer Service within 30 days. We will gladly replace the merchandise without additional charge, or provide you with a full refund.

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase and the merchandise is unopened, we will be happy to exchange it for you. No refunds will be given on opened albums, unless damaged or defective. Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable, and you will be responsible for all costs associated with return shipment.
